Insurance & Billing

We currently accept

Medicare

Optum/United

Out-of-Network Superbills

Insurance and billing can sometimes feel complicated. We aim to make the process as clear and straightforward as possible before therapy begins.

Iterra accepts Medicare and is an in-network provider with Optum and UnitedHealthcare behavioral health plans. Before treatment begins, we will check your benefits and share the information available to us, including any anticipated copayment, coinsurance, or deductible responsibility.

Insurance benefits vary by plan. Verification of benefits is based on information provided by the insurance company and is not a guarantee of coverage or payment. Final coverage and financial responsibility are determined by your plan after a claim is processed.

Medicare

Iterra accepts Medicare Classic for covered outpatient psychotherapy services.

Coverage may depend on your eligibility, specific benefits, and the services provided. Please contact the practice so that we can review your specific coverage before treatment begins.

Optum and UnitedHealthcare

Iterra is an in-network provider with Optum and UnitedHealthcare behavioral health plans.

Because networks and benefits can vary between individual plans, we will verify your available behavioral health benefits before treatment begins. Iterra will submit in-network claims directly to your insurance plan.

You may remain responsible for applicable copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, or services that are not covered by your plan.

Out-of-Network Benefits

Some insurance plans provide reimbursement for services received from an out-of-network provider.

When Iterra is not in network with your plan, payment is due according to the practice’s payment policies. Upon request, we can provide a superbill containing the information you may need to request reimbursement from your insurance company.

Out-of-network reimbursement is determined entirely by your individual plan and cannot be guaranteed. Before beginning therapy, you may wish to ask your insurance company about:

  • Out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits

  • Your out-of-network deductible

  • The percentage or amount your plan reimburses

  • Any authorization or referral requirements

  • Instructions and deadlines for submitting superbills

Questions About Coverage

You are welcome to contact Iterra with questions about insurance, billing, or anticipated costs. Although we cannot guarantee how an insurance company will process a claim, we will help you understand the information available before treatment begins.
